You have new windows or sliding doors being installed. Whether it be construction or a renovation the installation of the windows or sliding doors is an exciting day as you are very close to the finish. Normally there is still of trades to complete their work like - plasterers - painters - concreters These are the most dangerous trades that can and it most cases do cause damage to the new glass that is freshly installed. Have a real hard think whether you would like concrete splattered all over the windows and in some cases you will need to replace the glass due damage. So what can I do? Here are some things you can do to help keep your glass in new condition. - Immediately cover them with a plastic sheet, using a non marking tape to secure it around the frame. This is our highly recommended procedure - Use a special film that offers a second skin to the glass , warning dont leave it on to long as the glue will adhere and stain the glass. - Remove the factory stickers ASAP, if they are left on for an extended period of time it can stain the glass Who should clean the glass? We recommend spending the extra money on professional window cleaners and not builders cleaners to complete the work as they will have the right tools and the tricks to clean them properly.
