Cleaning Window Tracks

This is a forgotten part of the window yet they are one of the most important moving parts of the window or sliding glass door.

The runners and small wheels that help your window slide are hidden at the bas of the sliding panel.
These wheels is what runs through your tracks and if you tracks are dirty with dust dirt and muck they jam up and make the window hard to open or can jump along the track.

​The other reason for cleaning tracks is that most windows have what is called Weep Holes.
Strange name but an important job.
They are there to let any water out of the window frame otherwise the window tracks will fill up and overflow inside your home.
These are blocked in most cases when the tracks are dirty.

How to clean tracks?
We offer Brushing and Vacuuming Window and Door Tracks as one of our services by our Eco Conscious Team. and this is exactly what we do.
We use a track Brush from Bunnings and it the best on the market (trust me we have tried them all ) and a very powerful vacuum cleaner.
First brush the tracks with the track brush backwards and forwards applying some firm pressure and then follow it with the vacuum cleaner and repeat.
As simple as that.
